For my Senior Capstone Project, I created an artist business plan for hip-hop artist, Wavy. The goal of this project was to demonstrate the power shift in the music industry towards independent artists and their increasing control over their careers. I conducted extensive research on the state of the music industry and identified opportunities to increase the democratization of music in favor of artists. Ultimately, I found the best solution towards democratization was to pursue private investor funding as an alternative to signing with a record label. I created all of the necessary assets that would be used for a hypothetical investor meeting, which included a business plan and accompanying pitch deck. The document included a marketing plan with detailed strategies and a financial analysis that assessed his commercial viability. I curated a visual brand identity to showcase Wavy's brand to the pitch deck.
